Hello to Austrian and American parents!

Well! Today we have 16 smiling new faces living in our town of Cannon Falls and going to school with us!!! All of the students arrived safely on Saturday afternoon. They were tired after 23 hours of being awake, but happy. The Minneapolis customs people unfortunately were rather strict, and several students had their bags searched for quite a long time, but everything worked out okay. The brunch on Sunday was very nice. About 125 people were there to greet the Austrian students. Our fire department brought THREE fire engines to the school for a group photo. The Speaker of the Minnesota House came and gave a short greeting and speech. We are having a wonderful time so far, and we send a big "Thank you!" to all of the Austrian parents for sending your children to Cannon Falls. We love them! Attached are several photo files in Microsoft Imager software. These are photos from Mrs. Cole's digital camera (thank you very much!!!) ... I hope that all of you (parents and teachers) enjoy them!!!!

Thanks, Ellen Austin
